Think for a moment – What would your life be like if you could jump into another person’s body, and feel what they were feeling at any given moment? Which emotions would you turn toward feeling, and which would you shy away from?
Try this: Engage in conversation with another person, and simply be curious. Listen to what they’re saying, empathize with their feelings, and ask them questions to keep the conversation going. Notice their body language. Focus all of your attention on them for those moments.

Emotional intelligence is a foundational component in all relationships – work, family, spouse, kids, friends, and even with yourself. Never fear! The ability to perceive emotions, where those are coming from, and develop the skills to navigate those emotions can be learned!
